Will Microsoft dogfood CardSpace?
Just a quick thought, I know Microsoft has Passport tightly coupled with nearly all of their sites, services and forums but will they be implementing the new CardSpace technologies any time soon?
There are still a lot of unanswered questions around the Identity 2.0 technologies, the first one being what stops a hacker stealing my “card†and pretending to be me when visiting sites and the second is what stops card bloat (the scenario where I end up having to create a card for each site I visit, destroying the reusability aspect), which the overview demos and presentations aren’t answering.
Microsoft provides a lot of different services where it’ll make sense for me to have a single card to interact with them, whether is getting the latest betas, posting on the forums or registering for local events and since MS wants me to be implementing their version of Identity 2.0 when will I see it in action in their scope?
