My Xbox 360 and I

Yes, I have an Xbox 360 and I’m loving it. More than just a console it is my DVD player and music centre (using Windows Media Connect); and I’m determined to buy Media Centre when I get paid at the end of the month so I can stream movies from my PC to my console. Don’t forget that I have a 40’’ LCD TV so my experience of the Xbox is mind blowing.

I was lucky enough to help Microsoft man the Xbox 360 stand at rAge 2006 for which I got invited to the official launch and it was there that the marketing and hype got to me and I was one of the first in the country to buy a South African Xbox (at the very least I was the first at the launch!). I got myself the premium kit with an extra wireless controller plus 2 games and I couldn’t be happier. The next day I got myself the Universal Controller and a Charge & Play kit for my controllers.

A thank you goes out to Craig Nicholson for all his help in getting me hooked up with my new toy as well as getting me setup on Xbox Live and connected to my PC for content. Craig is an absolute fanatic and keeps me constantly up to date with the latest news and downloads available.

As so my spare time dwindles away like a candle in a sleeper’s bedroom; hopefully I’ll make the time to continue my Xbox 360 game development as well as meet people in real life and socialise.
