Quick blog update

Over a week since I last blogged and boy do I have a lot to talk about!

First Craig Nicholson helped me out with an explanation as to why generated code in Visual Studio 2005 throws a general exception as supposed to the specific NotImplementedException when implementing interfaces. Then I went to 27Dinner and met a huge load of people, all living and some working in the blogsphere and I have to give some feedback. I’ve got to talk about the upcoming SA Developer .NET Code Camp happening in the beginning of May 2007 and lastly I want to evangelize the Python language and give out some examples of what I’m doing with IronPython.

I’ve turned off Del.icio.us posting to my blog; I use it so often and I feel it clutters my blog posts with links since I don’t blog every day (I try and aim for 1-2 posts a week) so if you want to see what links I’m saving I’m going to add my Del.icio.us profile to the homepage of my blog and you can get it there.

Lastly, I’m trying to upgrade my blog to the latest version of Wordpress. This is a bit problematic as I can’t get a backup of the database to save all my posts and I’ve got limited access to run the update scripts. But I’ll shall strive on and eventually get there.

So I’m going to be doing a lot of writing this evening. I hope you’ll forgive the flood of posts.
