Talk on CardSpace and The Laws of Identity

Continuing from my post yesterday I want to invite you to the talk I’m giving for SA Developer .NET titled “Implementing CardSpace in your website” where I’ll be going over the Laws of Identity, the architecture and implementation of CardSpace to authenticate users on an ASP.NET and I’ll touch on OpenID as well, and compare it to Windows CardSpace.

When: 11th April 2007 18:30 – 20:30
Venue: Torque IT, Rivonia (directions)
Presenter: Andre Odendaal
Topic: Implementing CardSpace in your website
Objective: This talk looks at the Laws of Identity and how CardSpace applies them. We also look at how to use CardSpace to authenticate users visiting your ASP.NET website.

To RSVP for the event you need to register with the SA Developer .NET website and post a reply on the thread saying that you (and how many guests you’re bringing) will be coming. They need the numbers to plan food and drink for the event.

I’m really excited about this talk; I think it’ll open a big debate on internet security and identity, and it’ll be interesting to see other people’s opinions and thoughts. I’m going to email Dominic White who gave a motivating talk on “Privacy on the Web 2.0” at the March 27Dinner, as see if I can’t convince him to come this event and share his knowledge as well.
